Committee Members
Health freedom bill, like every other
health care bill, must first get favorable recommendation from HGO and EHEA
committees. Depending upon the strength of support in these two
committees, other committees and the full house mostly follow the
recommendation. It is therefore very important for residents to
campaign for the bill in these two committees, send e- mails, leave
telephone messages to members and if possible meet with them personally
about the bill. The more contacts you make, better the chance for
overwhelming favorable recommendation. The overwhelming support in
these two committees will propel the bill considerably, and it is sure to
pass. You may say the following to committee members:
“My name is-----------------.
I am a registered voter living in- -------- City, MD in
------- -- County. My family members are also registered voters and
they are very interested in alternative health care. Currently it is
not possible to consult the practitioners because it is in violation of
Medical Practice Act for any CAM
practitioner to practice CAM.
I respectfully urge you to introduce,
be champion, assist or
support a Complementary Alternative Medicine Health Care
Providers – Scope of Practice and Provider bill similar to
HB1380 or HB 730. Consumers must have access to
the CAM health care providers of their choice, such as traditional
naturopaths, herbalists, homeopaths, holistic health, and Ayurveda practitioners. It is our right to choose
our health care.”

your alternative health care.
